Arranging location and props blog

 Trying to arrange and prepare everything for filming my music video is a essential to take care of for this final task. Things im starting to take care of is trying to find a more of a accurate day to film my project. This would be best to film when there isn't any people at the park due to accusations and covid. I don't want to film on a day that there is a bunch of kids running around interfering in the film and also not taking 6-feet safety precautions for covid. My film is going to be based off of a kidnapping of a girl from the park and being thrown in the trunk and a individual witnessing this can really cause some troubles if they don't know what's really going on. I don't want people thinking there is a actual kidnapping going on due to this not being a actual filming site and its a public area that people can assume and make accusations off of what they see. The real plan for this is taking a day from school where there will be most likely no kids because of school and then filming really early in the morning as well so also limit the amount of people that will be there. Arranging props and things needed for filming is also very essential before starting to film. It's also going to be important that we have enough time if we needed to be there for hours on end that good lighting from the sun isn't took away from it getting dark. While at the park we are also going to take precautions our self as in sanitizing the swings before the actress sits on it because we don't want any germs on anyone. The backup plans if kids or adults arrive and a lot are around is just going to be to reschedule for another day because we don't want to take any chances. One good thing about having so long to film and edit is if something like that did happen were we show up and have to leave or we film and it gets dark we can also arrive back another day and continue the film. One important prop we need is two cars for the kidnapping and the witness car as well. When the male actres kendrick is dragging shae into the car the main scene of this opening film is going to be him closing the trunk on her and looking up to be seen being watched as he drives off the witness gets in her car as well and calls the police. Both cars being placed at the location is going to play a major part in this film especially kendrick who is going to do the kidnapping where 30 or more seconds should be being filmed at this scene with the car. More important props is all the essentials for the beginning of the opening film as well. When the actress is waking up things that I wrote in my story board like her morning eye mask and her stocking before she goes to the park and headphones are thing that I need to make sure I purchase or have home before starting to film. Filming this beginning scene at the location of a home and filming the scene at the park im going to try to film all together in one day. When filming I know I have to go back because I missed something or as im editing I realized something didn't look right so this time im going to dedicated to whole day at these two locations perfecting everything. The main thing I can say that im mostly worried about is filming and someone thinking its something its not so im going to try my best to have family around and make it look just as if we are filming and there isn't a actual kidnapping occuring.

Today we are giving it another try for filming our scenes at the park. We all first started by waking up really early getting ready and meeting at the location at a set time. Actress shae had to get back in costume making sure everything looked as before. We headed over to the park and started to take a look around to check if there is anyone presently there. We figured that we have came so early that even if there is a event planned like last time we were sure they weren't gonna be doing it at 9am in the morning. Looking around there was no one there no joggers, parties, volleyball players, basketball players, it was just a plain sight. Research blog : Music Video Conventions

 For this project I will be conducting a music video on the song Foolish by Ashanti released in 2002. In this music video I will be recreating a minute worth of footage to use with a minute worth of the audio from the song Foolish. I started this process off with researching R&B soul music videos watching and taking notes on certain background, props, movements and vibes created that were acted in these R&B soul videos. One thing I realized I had to do was watch more videos that scripted relationship scenes just like in the actual song foolish by ashanti. I already had pictures in my mind of myself and the actor finding ways to recreate a type of feelings of old school throwback vibes and looks. In order to get this type of look some senses will have to be more dimmed and props and costumes will look more old school and less advanced things we have in the year 2020.  1.  How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? My product uses challenges and conventions through there being different options and options to choose from. The definition of a vacuum is " an electrical apparatus that by means of suction collects dust and small particles from floors and other surfaces.'' Now this Can represent social groups or issues due to the competitiveness of how different vacuums work and which ones are better. For example my product specifically the shark rotator vacuum could cause issues because this is the one vacuum that has a powerful lift away and the most powerful suction.
