Editing problems
Starting off editing I emailed myself all the footage from my phone and downloaded it to my computer. Next I pulled up my editing app called clipchamp and imported all the videos onto the app. I then started to edit and crop the videos down to the correct length and size making sure the video reached and did not go over or under the time limit required. This was when the first of many editing problems started to occur. As I was importing the video into the app they were taking forever. Each and every video took like 7 minutes just to upload to the app even though they were only like 5 second clips. I tried fixing this just by shutting down my laptop and starting over. When I pulled back up Clipchamp and started to import my videos to put them all together the same thing was occuring so I just had to wait and wait until I got each and every clip into their and there was dozens. Instead of everything importing quickly I spent lots of time sitting there and just waiting and waiting for video by video to import on the app and load. As I was trying to import these videos from my files I kept getting a error message saying "clipchamp only accepts audios, videos, and photos," which I was very confused for because I was uploading videos. The time went a little over the 2 minute mark so I had to take out some clips that I recorded of shaes morning leading up to the kidnapping. I did find this overall better because I didn't want the movie to look like it had to many mini clips going on and didn't just go together as it should. Nextly after putting all my videos I started to edit them all together to create the movie look. Even though the first problem was fixed now everytime I moved videos around or shortened them more they weren't staying on the same line they were over lapping each other and causing problems. I could fix it but I had to move them around carefully or they kept messing all up at once. ANother problem I found here is in some clips you can hear me talking in the back round towards the actress. I was just hoping that those all were in the beginning were there would be music over them. After all the clips were in a row how they were supposed to be and aligned up I started to look for the music I was going to insert. I wanted a peaceful song for the beginning and a more thrilled song for towards the end. I still didn't know if that would have looked good or sounded good but I was going to see for myself. If two songs in the beginning of a movie is too much I would have just used the peaceful song for the beginning and not have inserted the thriller music. I would have chosen this because I wanted the beginning to look like a normal movie not giving away that something bad is going to happen. Once I found the songs on you tube I moved them to a youtube download mp3 and download them to my computer. Around this time I was done for the day I felt good knowing all my videos were up and appeared and the rest was for another day.
